Conversely I feel the 'bloat' on Windows is stuff I don't want running and goto great lengths to disable/remove and some of the stuff not only uses considerable amounts of CPU there are times where its effect on system performance can be felt by the user. Linux completely depends on the distro but even what many consider a heavy distro isn't doing anywhere near the amount of stuff MacOS and Windows is. Aside from that we are all at the mercy of software we use and how well its coded.

The SO-DIMMs should be DDRL3L-1600 (DDR3L PC3L-12800, CL=11, unbuffered, non-ECC, DDR3L-1600, 1.35v) The SO-DIMMs you mentioned seem like they should be compatible (CL=10 should work fine in a computer that can accept CL=11). But I would only buy from a vendor that has a compatibility guarantee. If there's a problem, I would want to be able to return them for a refund.

Because of this, it came with the default 4GB of RAM onboard rather than one of the larger amounts the computer supports. There are probably plenty of mini buyers in the same boat, so join me as I upgrade my mini from a pedestrian 4GB of memory all the way to the computer's max of 16GB. Start by turning it off (obviously), yanking all the cords (obviously) and flipping the computer over (hopefully obviously). Apple has made upgrading the newer minis much easier than it was with past models. Simply rotate the black portion of the case counter-clockwise so that it clicks open. Remove the black cover and try not to drool at how gorgeous the mini's guts are.
